Tell Tim Hortons: Hands off workers’ wages & benefits!

Today Unifor National, Local 1996-O and many Unifor members and workers from around the province and affiliates such as OFL, Toronto York Region Labour Council attended one of many rallies at Tim Hortons in support of workers” for the actions against them by their employer….we encourage all members to

TELL THEM “Rollback ALL punitive measures against workers”!

Tim Hortons leaflet-1

Hands off workers’ wages & benefits!

  •  The Tim Hortons corporation dictates virtually every detail of the franchise-owner’s business practice.
  •  It even stipulates the required net worth (at least $1.5 million) of any potential franchise owner.
  • As the supplier of Tim Hortons products, the corporation sets the price of everything from sugar to its pre-cooked donuts. It’s clear the parent corporation has the power to fully restore workers’ wages, benefits and working conditions.

TAKE ACTION:
Email Tim Hortons: 15andFairness.org

  • The Ontario’s new labour laws were intended to improve the wages and working conditions of employees – especially those at the lowest rungs of the income ladder.
  •  Demand that Restaurant Brands International (RBI) take whatever steps necessary to ensure that its company and Tim Hortons franchise owners respect the spirit of the new laws. Call RBI on 905 845 6511
TELL THEM “Rollback ALL punitive measures against workers”!

RPT/SPT Are you being assigned hours on NRG following a DOR?

WE have received several calls in regards to SPT/RPT employees being assigned hours for an NGR following a DOR….as per the Overtime Averaging Agreement please pay close attention to the following scenario’s below:

If technician is scheduled DOR, followed by NGR and on DD-1 (Techs DOR), the technician’s NGR is changed to a scheduled shift, what is the technician’s obligation toward that shift?

If the technician has a fixed DOR, they are expected to look at their phone and show up
for the scheduled shift, if not then they are not expected to come in.

Fixed Dor=technician has requested this day
Dor=this has been chosen by the company
